Art Vision presented the 8th dance festival called SANGAM, A CONFLUENCE OF DANCE on the 12th of September 2012 , at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar.
The production presented in Sangam Festival 2012 by Art Vision was, a specially choreographed item titled “KAALA- TIME BOUND”, an ode to the different dimensions of Time , its mysterious beginning and end, its cyclic and linear movements its aspects of creator, and destroyer...Lyrics by Devdas Chhotray, music by Annada Prasanna Patnaik and the choreography was by Dr. Ileana Citaristi.
The Bharata Natyam group choreography by Kalavardhini Sankul focused on the aspect of "ARDHANARISWARA", the half female/ half male aspect of Lord Shiva, through interpretative as well as pure rhythmic dance visualizing all the aspects of music i.e. Swaramala, Sahitya, Tillana & Tirmanam-s.The choreography was by Sucheta Chapekar.
A book titled “TRADITIONAL MARTIAL PRACTICES IN ODISHA”, authored by Dr Ileana Citaristi and published by Subhi Publications, New Delhi, was released during the function.
